Frontera Consulting was honored to participate in the Rio Grande City Cable Cutting Ceremony, part of the Keepin’ it Rio Market Days celebration on Saturday, June 7, 2014. This event officially kicked off the introduction of free public WiFi internet access to the residents, businesses, and tourists in the historic downtown area.
With the help of the Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation, and the support of the Mayor and City Council, Frontera Consulting was given the opportunity to design and deploy an enterprise-grade wireless network, capable of providing fast and reliable internet access to thousands of users.
I have seen the benefits of the free wifi here in the downtown area firsthand. I use it to promote my store online. My daughter uses it for her school research. I think it’s great that Rio Grande City is doing this for its residents and business owners like me.
